We offer an elementary school program that is based on Indigenous Ways of Learning and Being. Currently, we offer Junior-Kindergarten to Grade 6 with expansion plans to grade 7 in the 2024/25 school year.
The mandate for the school is to guide children’s learning in a way that weaves our language and traditions into our daily teachings. This prepares the children with the knowledge of who they are and where they come from; to strengthen understanding and confidence in their individual gifts; to best prepare them to navigate the world around them. Our school is moving towards a full Squamish Nation Immersion School. The quality of education reflects and expresses our language and culture, which are inseparable in the teaching and learning process. We are fortunate to be the first step in your child’s lifelong learning journey and we are proud to offer your child this opportunity.
How are we different: We continue to create and foster connections with community members that can share their expert knowledge with learners (weaving, canoe pulling, Indigenous plant knowledge, carving, and more).
